Don’t worry! Christian Family Automotive in Matthews, NC is now Kindred Automotive. We also relocated just a few miles down the road to Indian Trail, NC. We still have the same owner, many of the same people, and we still offer the best auto repair in Indian Trail, NC and the 28079 area!
Why did Christian Family Automotive change its name?
For God is not the author of confusion

The short version is that it all got very confusing for many of our amazing clients! When we opened in 2010, our founder Robert felt God leading him to name the automotive repair shop Christian Family Automotive to remind everyone that we ultimately answer to the Lord and we are here to take care of families!
A few years after we opened, a large corporation out of Texas started to open up car repair locations near Matthews with a very similar name as us. At first we loved the idea of more Christian brothers in the neighborhood, but the confusion caused by similar names would always come up.
Spouses would be waiting to pickup their loved ones at our competitor down the street. Parts would show up at our location that we didn’t order. Cars would be towed to the wrong mechanic and worse, finding a mechanic you could trust became more complicated when you referred your friend to our location and they would go down the street by mistake.
But wait, there’s more!
Do you remember our old logo? The wheel and tire? 
It was designed by the wife of a worship leader from our church, and we loved it! But it became another source of trouble when a rim and tire shop opened up next door. Suddenly our fancy wheel logo caused even more trouble as customers had no idea which building to walk into!

Our hope is that if you need car repair near Indian Trail, NC 28079 our name change will not stop you from finding out if Kindred Automotive really is the best mechanic in the 28079 area. Even though our name is no longer Christian Family Automotive, our values and desire to be the best auto repair shop in Indian Trail, Matthews and the Charlotte area has not changed.

Hey Christian Family Automotive Family!!! Glad to receive a gift card in the mail from “Kindred Auto.” I didn’t understand until I saw the address! Congratulations on the growth and the evolution of this awesome shop! I wish you guys were in Atlanta. My 2008 Scion xB has enjoyed every oil change and each repair. We’re at 219K and still going thanks to the 6+ years you guys cared for us… I didn’t trust anybody else touching her and it was so hard leaving the area for that very reason. Continued success and please stick to the same principles and care you have for the cars and the people that come through the shop!
